Parks and Recreation

The Mission of the Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks & Recreation Department strives to provide parks, open spaces, programs and facilities which meet the recreational needs of the community and enhance the quality of life. The staff of the Parks & Recreation Department maintains 10 municipal parks as well as all of the City of Bloomfield's buildings and facilities, and does extensive weed control throughout the community. In addition, staff works with volunteers from all of the youth and adult sports programs to coordinate the use of city facilities.
